Madrid, 4th of December, 2009

Prodys extends its Audio Codec portfolio with a new portable audio codec Nomada IP XL, supporting IP, 3G, ISDN and PSTN communication interfaces. Nomada IP XL is a new full-duplex, dual (Program & talkback) audio codec, based on its predecesor Nomada IP XL but with more inputs and outputs. Its design, more robust, compact and with a flat surface, prevents from damages on the knobs and make it easier to use.

Nomada IP XL incorporates 4 mic/line level inputs and 1 line level input for monitoring purposes, named International Sound Input. It comes fitted with 4 headphone outputs, and with a USB interface to connect a 3G modem.

It comes fitted with an inbuilt channel mixer to route and mix both input and output sources. All audio and communication parameters, including input/output signals and levels are remotely configurable, and can be stored in different presets to ease the set up of the unit by non technical stuff.

Prodys maintains its lead with the development of Audio over IP tools for the broadcast market.
Madrid, 26th October, 2009

Prodys is releasing new firmware upgrades for its family of IP codecs. Version 6.1.1 is incorporating many important improvements aimed at ensuring consistent audio quality across IP links. Among the new audio protection techniques are the possibility to include an additional ethernet interface, to split audio and control data flows in two different physical interfaces. Besides, it is possible to tag audio and control IP packets according to the VLAN 802.1Q/p standard. This allows the network administrator to achieve VLAN topologies and to set priorities to the different types of data.

In addition to this, Prodys have enhanced, even more, the SIP protocol, offering more compression modes such as apt-X, and adapting the existing ones, like MPEG AAC, to the changes agreeded during the last EBU N/ACIP meeting held in May 2009 in Munich. Besides, the STUN protocol for SIP calls has been included now...

Madrid, 29th April, 2009

PRODYS have rolled out new software for its PC audio codec PCNet.

This new version incorporates some important new features such as playout of audio files and level controls for both input and output signals.

This version allows the user to select any audio file that is either local to, or remotely accessible by the computer to be played and streamed over the IP network mixed with the audio input of the selected audio device on the local computer. In addition to this, the levels for the audio input of the audio device (sound card) and the file playout can be adjusted independently....
