PRODYS and CCS-MUSICAM introduce at NAB "IKUSNET", a fully innovative concept in news contribution. ··········································································································
Madrid, 1st July, 2010
Prodys exhibited at NAB and BCA exhibitions this year - IKUSNET video codec was shown for the first time and received an excellent response from all who saw it, they praised its compact design and its versatility. IKUSNET permits duplex real-time audio and video transmission through IP networks, including 3G. This makes IKUSNET the first choice to transmit live news; replacing in many situations complete ENG vans that are currently the only option available to offer video contribution.
Many visitors are finding that it is becoming harder to have ISDN installed and are showing increased interest in IP audio codecs, both in rack mount ProntoNet & Nereus format and also the portable Nomada IP W & Nomada IP XL units. This confirms the increasing importance of Prodys’ commitment to IP technology.
As Sergio García (pictured on the right), from Televisa Radio, Mexico, told us: “We are very interested in IP communications and your portable codec test here is very good and very clean. This is the future of communications!”.
A widespread feeling of improved business optimism was noted amongst visitors and exhibitors alike, this was confirmed by the increased number of visitors compared with 2009.
This optimism was confirmed at the BroadcastAsia Expo held in Singapore this June, where the Prodys products attracted much positive interest from visitors who came to the stand.

New 3G/IP/ISDN/PSTN portable audio codec with 4 mic/line level inputs and 4 headphone outputs.
Madrid, 4th of December, 2009
Prodys extends its Audio Codec portfolio with a new portable audio codec Nomada IP XL, supporting IP, 3G, ISDN and PSTN communication interfaces.
Nomada IP XL is a new full-duplex, dual (Program & talkback) audio codec, based on its predecesor Nomada IP XL but with more inputs and outputs. Its design, more robust, compact and with a flat surface, prevents from damages on the knobs and make it easier to use.
Nomada IP XL incorporates 4 mic/line level inputs and 1 line level input for monitoring purposes, named International Sound Input. It comes fitted with 4 headphone outputs, and with a USB interface to connect a 3G modem.
It comes fitted with an inbuilt channel mixer to route and mix both input and output sources. All audio and communication parameters, including input/output signals and levels are remotely configurable, and can be stored in different presets to ease the set up of the unit by non technical stuff.
