Madrid, Spain - PRODYS have rolled out new software for its PC audio codec PCNet.
Prodys has focused its development effort in to making PCNet easier and more versatile to use in "real world" situations, for example, where journalists mix their own commentary along with pre-recorded files.
This new version incorporates some important new features such as playout of audio files and level controls for both input and output signals.
This version allows the user to select any audio file that is either local to, or remotely accessible by the computer to be played and streamed over the IP network mixed with the audio input of the selected audio device on the local computer. In addition to this, the levels for the audio input of the audio device (sound card) and the file playout can be adjusted independently.

The level control of the output (from PC) has been developed as a result of feedback from our customers. The user can control the overall output level and additionally balance the relative levels of the received audio (RX) and audio file playback.
This new feature is optional. New customers will need to purchase a dongle with this license. Existing customers for version 2.xx PCNet should have to order a new licence file by emailing Prodys sales office with the serial number of their dongle. This license file can be easily loaded by accessing the 'license' tab on the configuration window.
