Prodys has introduced a new USB Headset License for Quantum Lite, expanding the portable IP audio codec’s capabilities with an additional independent audio input and output through its USB 2.0 Type-A (Host) port.

The new feature allows broadcasters connect a USB headset with a microphone directly to Quantum Lite, either via a wired connection or a compatible USB Bluetooth adapter (dongle). Once connected, the USB device becomes a fully routable audio interface that broadcasters can assign through Quantum Lite’s internal audio matrix.

With this setup, a second reporter, guest or commentator can join a live transmission from a single Quantum Lite, eliminating the need for an additional codec or external audio equipment. This makes Quantum Lite a practical solution for interviews, on-location discussions and other multi-person live contributions, while preserving its portability and simple workflow.

The Quantum Lite USB Headset License gives broadcasters an additional audio interface and greater flexibility for live reporting from virtually any location.
